Bromyard 2021

Bromyard is a compact town on the banks of the River Frome. Whilst small, elevation is noticeable with approximately 80m height range between highest and lowest points.

The course makes full use of the town and roads leading from it. All checkpoints can be visited via tarmac roads with pavements - the footpaths across fields may be muddy in winter. The A44 runs across the town - there is a 40mph speed limit but visibility is good and the road is not normally busy. If not confident, make use of the central refuges or subway adjacent to checkpoint 1. During periods of prolonged intense rainfall checkpoint 26 may not be accessible due to flooding.

Phone signal is good in the parking area so you can find and download the course via “Events near me”. If you want to download in advance you can find in the directory: UK\Gloucestershire\Herefordshire or if staill part of a running MapRun event Series, in UK\Gloucestershire\Current Series

Parking charges apply in Tenbury Road and Rowberry Street car parks 24/7 (excluding Sundays), and free on street parking on High Street/Broad Street is time limited during the day. Unrestricted on street parking is available along Old Road. Do NOT park in Kirkham Gardens - it is for residents only. Use of public transport to/from Bromyard is difficult.

Start and Finish is beside the porch on the east side of the council offices.
