Maprun (“the App”) provides location-based services, such as mapping outdoor activities by utilizing the geographical position of the user’s device.

The services are provided by FNE Enterprises. These terms apply between FNE Enterprises and the user of the Apps, and includes the mobile applications and the associated web sites. Usage of the Apps assumes that the user fully accepts and approves the conditions that follow. FNE Enterprises disclaims all responsibility for any financial and material damage the Apps can cause the user.

Privacy Policy

The user’s profile for the App is acquired from the information the user enters on the “Runner’s Name” screen of the App. Only personal data required for the services the App provides is stored, such as name, email address, gender, year of birth and postal code. This is the information required so that when the user chooses to upload results, that these results can be entered into the appropriate gender/age/ categories.

If the user chooses to “Upload Results”, the results website will display:

• Their GPS track during the event that they are uploading,
• The timing details of their run,
• Their first name and surname, and
• The age and gender category of their result.

The email address provided may be used to send an email containing details of the events they have participated in and to provide information on forthcoming events.

This information may be shared with British Orienteering, North Gloucestershire Orienteering Club, and affiliated Orienteering associations, consistent with their privacy policies.

To better understand and serve the users of the App, we may conduct research on our user’s results and behaviours based on the Personal Data and other information provided to us. This research may be compiled and analyzed on an aggregate basis, and we may share this aggregated data with our affiliates, agents and business partners. This aggregate information does not identify users personally. We may also disclose aggregated user statistics in order to describe our services to current and prospective business partners, and to other third parties for other lawful purposes.

Users can use the App without sending any Personal Data from their device, however, they may not be able to use certain features of the Services.

If a minor, under 18 years of age, uses the App, we assume that it is with the consent of a legal guardian.

The Services we offer may change from time to time. As a result, at times it may be necessary for us to make changes to this Privacy Policy. Accordingly, we reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time and from time to time without prior notice. Please review this policy periodically, and especially before you provide any personal data. This Privacy Policy was last updated on the date indicated above. Your continued use of the services after any changes or revisions to this Privacy Policy shall indicate your agreement with the terms of such revised Privacy Policy.
