New MapRun features for Bishops Cleeve

Published by Pat Macleod on

MapRun continues to evolve, and for Bishops Cleeve we have introduced a couple of handy new features to help you download the course, and find information about the venue and event.
First of all, rather than trawling through the worldwide folder structure to find the event, you can just scan this QR code with your phone, and the course will be downloaded.

We will be adding these codes to the event info in future, provided planners let us have the course files before we have to publish the event details. We will also add it to the Upcoming Events table on the website.

Secondly, the forthcoming Maprun6 V6.5 adds an Info button to the event screen. I am not sure if Maprun 6.5 is published yet – I have a beta version – but it hopefully will be soon. With MapRun 6.5 we can add links to the event to provide you with more information about it. For Bishops Cleeve we have added a link to the event details as published on the NGOC and Maprun Gloucestershire websites, and a Google map showing the parking and start/finish locations, and these will be regular features for our future events.

Maybe a little premature for this week, but check these features out if you have auto-updated to MapRun 6.5. You still have to pre-enter, however, at Fabian4.co.uk, so head on over there and sign up for this Thursday.
