Longlevens

This course takes in the more Northerly suburbs of Gloucester, including the rather boring inter-war residential estates but also the more varied and 'networked' newer estates up towards Innsworth, where there is much greater scope for finding interesting routes.

Note that the Longlevens course was one of earliest courses, and has a different scoring system from most. Checkpoints are numbered from 10 to 39, numbers 10-19 are worth 10 points, 20-29 are worth 20 points, and 30-39 are worth 30 points. The catch is that penalties for late completion are 30 points per minute or part minute!

Parkingis either in Longlevens Rugby Club, or in the open parking area between the club and the neighboring school. Although that area has gates they seem to be permanently open, to our knowledge.

The start and finish are at far left corner of the fence, looking from the Rugby Club car park, around the children’s play area next to the clubhouse. It’s next to the mound with two or three trees on it. If you are parked in the other car park you'll need to walk along the road and into the playing field area around the rugby clubhouse. Make sure you run through this point to start your route, and again back through it to stop the clock on your run.
