This course covers the suburbs of Oakley and Prestbury in East Cheltenham. It’s mostly on paved surfaces, with a few footpaths through fields on the East edge of the map.

Parking is in Sainsbury’s car park, Oakley.

The start and finish are at the big white pillar, near the entrance to Sainsbury’s.

Bit of blunder setting up Barnwood yesterday - turned out to be a scatter course, rather than a Score - so you had to visit every control, and no one did! The problem has been sorted out, a new version of the course published, and everyone's results corrected, and it'll be this one that is available to download in future, not the old one. This does however prompt me to make better of use of the facilities made available in MapRun 7 to facilitate course publication, but that means you have to be on MapRun 7 even to run the course. So from the next race - Stonehouse - onwards, there will be a minimum MapRun App level set for each event - MapRun 7 or later, and the App wont let you run if on a back level. A quick check of recent results suggests almost everyone is on MapRun 7 now, but it's worth checking, and installing v7 - just called MapRun - in place of Maprun6, if you don't have it already. ... It promises to be a good challenge, covering both industrial and residential areas and some of the newest estates around Gloucester.
